Mark started off as a Drillers offsider at the age of 17 and quickly progressed through the drilling industry. Purchasing his first rig in 1990, McKay Drilling started through continuous innovation in technology and equipment, the company has grown into one of Australia’s leading drilling service providers. Mark’s passion for high quality drilling and innovation has been the driver for continual growth and development of the company.
General ManagerMick has been involved in the drilling industry since 1984, with a range of experience from drilling through to maintenance, operations and general management positions for the last 33 years. Mick has been a valuable contributor to the drilling industry with engineering designs providing safer systems of work. He was one of the first committee members of the Mines Occupational Health and Safety “Drilling Hazards Committee” which published Guidelines for the drilling industry in Western Australia and was a committee member of the Western Australian Branch of the ADIA.
Aaron has over 17 years experience in the drilling industry and through hard work and an eye for detail moved into management roles early into his career. Aaron manages the whole McKay Drilling fleet with a strong operations support team to ensure optimum performance and a safe working environment.
Fleet & Asset ManagerRob commenced working in the drilling industry in 1998 with NorthWest Drilling where he worked for 9 years, first as a boilermaker/welder and then moved his way up into the Workshop Manager role. Since 2006 Rob has demonstrated and proven his leadership abilities in Manager roles with such companies as Boart Longyear, Schramm/Airdrill and Foraco Australia before joining McKay Drilling in 2014. Rob confidently leads the Perth based Workshop team, where he is responsible for all maintenance, engineering and rebuild projects for the McKay Drilling fleet.
