Company Values Award – April 2026

Value Award (Accountability/ Leadership)
Ella Koonchuen – Ella has been extremely efficient and accountable in completing the Proactive Safety Effort calculations and Client Contractor Hours each month in a timely manner as well as delivering a high output of documents through the document control framework.

Value Award (Accountability/ Leadership)
Ross Fowler – He was able to inspect and sign off drill pads for the resource development rigs while he was looking after the RCGC rigs, this lead to less downtime when the resource development rigs arrived on site and ensured the rigs could get to drilling straight away once they arrived on site.

Value Award (Accountability/ Leadership)
Thomas Davies – It was discussed in the morning LIF meeting about how Tom has been showing great leadership in the morning PSI meetings, running the meetings with other drilling contactors in them. RIO has also mentioned how he is showing great support in the field to new starter Connor Peacock. Tom had been the only DA on MKY018 for 3 shifts this week and his willingness to interact with the client on pad has been raised to myself, his work ethic was also mentioned.

This is great to hear and to be called out by another drilling company and RIO reps for his leadership is unreal and deserve to be recognized.

Value Award (Accountability/ Leadership)
Robert Gattti – Gatti has been thrown into the deep end without too much help and knowledge around using the I Rig and also having to drill short holes. He really took up the challenge and showed to himself and his peers what he has learnt since becoming a driller. He gets his drill plan, goes to the drill area, and sorts out his days drilling order. As he is on very short holes, and needs to plan it to have a successful day. He also takes his time to setup on each hole and ensures its safe for all on the pad and around his work area, this is at the forefront of his production. Gatti’s metres for the week have been good considering the short holes and steep terrain he has to setup in. He has really shown accountability in his work this week on the I rig and the time he has been on rig 5 this year.

Value Award (Accountability/ Leadership)
Lachlan Gent – Lachlan has only been at McKay’s for 6 months and has showed accountability in all his task he has been given. He isn’t one to shy away from helping anyone out. He is the first and last to still be working at the rig and helping around the laydown. Lachlan has also had to single offside on many occasions and just gets the job done in the same safe matter as he would if there were two offsiders. For the last week he had to offside by himself for the whole nightshift week as we had been short staff. His accountability and performance are next to none.
