Hand Safe Hazard Reporting
Steve Widnall - Observed splits in the handle, possibly causing splinters. Potential to cause hand or finger injuries. Used a grinder to take off the rough areas of the handle.
Clayton Dawson - Observed and individual using grinder with one hand also without handle. Huge4 potential to cause line of fire or hand or finger injury. Stopped the job immediately. Individual then informed of correct operational procedure.
Dane Hunt - An electrical cab tilt button had recently been fitted whilst truck was in Wangara yard. While using it to carry out a inspection which required tilting the cab it was realised there would be a high potential to get fingers crushed or worse due to the positioning of the button bracket. Modified button bracket and relocated to keep hands out of the line of fire while the cab is lowering
